Myles John Sorensen

Myles John Sorensen was born on November 16, 2008. He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and was 21 inches long. He decided at 3:30 in the morning that he wanted to be here so we went to the hospital. He was finally born at 5:19 am by C-Section. He looked just like Tracen when he was first born. He now has his own look, but you can definately tell that they are brothers. Big brother Tracen was scared of him at first and didn't want to even touch him. Now Tracen is comfortable with him and gives him kisses and even helps feed him his bottles. He has even shared his beloved "Froggy" with him. Mom and Dad are very glad to have both of thier boys home and healthy!

2 Week Countdown!

The end is finally in site! In 2 weeks from today I am scheduled to have a C-Section and "Superman" (Tracen still calls him that- I thought it would have worn off by now, but it hasn't) will be here! Not only will it be special because our new bundle of joy will be here, but he will be born on Grandpa Sorensen's birthday! Not too many kids can say they share a birthday with their Grandpa. We are so excited- especially me. I'm ready to have my normal sized feet back, be able to sleep the whole night (well not counting feedings at 2 in the morning) without waking up just becuase I have to roll over (it is honestly like lifting weights or something), and not having to visit the restroom every hour (if not more)! I'm really excited but feel like there is still so much to do! Life just gets crazier and crazier as time goes on.

Reba & Kelly

Chad and I went to the Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson concert on Friday. (And of course we forgot the camera so we don't have any pictures to share- sorry.) It was so much fun. And not only becuase it was a night out without Tracen- he got to sleep over at Grandma and Grandap Dewitt's house and he thought that was pretty cool! It was a very entertaining concert. Melissa Peterman (I don't know if that is the correct spelling)- she plays Barbara Jean on the Reba show- was the opening act as a stand up comdian. She is hilarious. If any of you have the chance to go see her I reccomend it. Kelly and Reba blend so well and they did a good variety between thier songs. I was never a fan of Kelly just becuase I don't normally listen to her genre of music- but I am now a fan. She is extremely talented. Not only can that girl sing but she can sing so many different genres and sound really good. I have always wanted to see Reba so it was really exciting for me. I love her!

Memory Lane

I just heard this fun game. Leave a comment about a memory you have of our family, or just one of us. It will be really fun to hear what everyone has to say! If you leave a memory we will assume you are playing the game and will respond to you as well. Enjoy!

Update

So I think I'm pretty much the worst blogger ever! I always think I need to get somthing on here but it's usually at work or somewhere I can't do it righ then. Sorry.

Well, for those that don't know, we hare having another boy. Tracen still says little sister once in a while, but I think is getting the idea that he will have a little brother. We were shopping for clothes for the baby and Tracen not too long ago and he would pick up something off the hanger and ask if it was for his brother. I would say yes it could be and he would hold it up to my belly and say "No fit" and put it back. If he found something he especially liked he would say "I like this for brother" and it would be put in our pile. Then he would ask for his "fit" (meaning size) of clothes and go look for himself. It was cute and made me really excited for "Brother" to get here.

I'll try really hard to be a better blogger- I promise.

Tag You're It

I was tagged by Leslie.
This if for all those mom's out there.

1. Typically, what time do you wake up? During the week around 7 or 7:30 am...on the weekends whenever Tracen does- lately around 7:30 or 8 am. (He doesn't wake up for anything and gets mad at us when we have to get him out of bed to go to the babysitters, but on the weekends when we're ready to sleep in he's up and ready go before 8- how does that work?)
2. On a good night, what time are your kids in bed? If we're lucky around 9 pm, if not around 10 pm
3. How long have you been a mommy? For 2 1/2 years- weird!
4. How old were you when you became a mom? I was 21- My 22nd birthday was 2 months later.
5. What is your favorite kids T.V show? We are big fans of Signing Time and Monster's Inc at our house.
6. What is your least favorite kids T.V. show? I'm not a big Cartoon Fan unless it's Disney Channel.
7. What is your favorite chore? Is there such a thing as "favorite" chore? I apparently don't do any and you'd see that if you came to my house. I don't mind loading the dishwasher but I hate unloading it.
8. What is your favorite meal to cook? I seem to do pastas a lot or Mexican food. Crockpot Enchilada Chicken is the easiest of all time!
9. What meal do you cook most often? Oops, I already answered this, but pastas.
10. What is your kids favorite meal? What kid doesn't like chicken nuggets and french fries? Tracen will just about anything though- I'm pretty lucky.
11. What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids? Plays basketball with him and watches sports on TV.
12. What are 5 things that make you smile when you’re being a mom? Hugs around the neck, when he says "I love you too!", when he shares his toys or snacks with other kids, when he sings new songs (the newest is Little Bow Wow), and when he says his own prayers (it's the cutest thing).
13. If you could take your kids anywhere, where would it be? I would like to try Disney land again. Tracen was so scared of all the characters- I hope he grows out that some day.
14. When was the last time you went out without your kids? Last night- we went to Braza Grill for Chad's birthday.
15. What is your favorite pastime/activity to do with your kids? Playing outside- which usually consists of any sport.
16. Name one thing you said you would never say as a mother? I can't think of one, but I'm sure my Mom remembers somthing I said I would never tell my kids.
17. Name one thing you do, that your own mom did? Say prayer before eating our dinner.
18. What is your favorite quality your mom has? She is so organized!
19. What is your favorite kids book? We really like the Bug Book that Aspen and Clayton gave to Tracen. We read it over and over.
20. What is your favorite advice for new moms? Don't worry about your chores so much- enjoy the time you have with your kids.
21. What is your most heartbreaking moment as a mom? When Tracen was about 6 months old he got really sick with the flu- that was the worst becuase there was nothing I could do and I knew he didn't understand what was going on.
22. What is your most joyful moment being a mom? Watching Tracen grow up.
23. When was the last time you told one of your kids, “I Love You”? Last night when we put him in bed.
24.When was the last time you were told, “I love you” by one of your kids? Last night when we left for dinner.

I tag anyone who has not done this yet.

Lagoon

I am really not good at posting often am I? Sorry, I'll try to get better. We went to Lagoon a couple of weeks ago. I think Tracen liked it. We forgot our camera so I don't have any pictures to post for it. We took a lunch so we were able to have a picnic too. I'm a little sad becuase I can't ride any of the rides and I really enjoy that, but we still had a good day. We have season passes so we'll probably be going a lot. He was really nervous about the rides at first, but we convinced him to try a few. His favorite was the cars- of course.

Speaking of cars; Tracen loves to go to any grocery store that has cars attached to the carts. He is always saying "I want to go to car store". It keeps him busy while we're at the store, but it is really difficult to get him to leave.

Big Brother!

Well, about a week and a half ago we found out that Tracen is going to be a big brother! We are pretty excited. Tracen doesn't quite understand what is happening. He just gives us crazy looks when we tell him that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. He has been consistant when we ask if he wants a brother or sister; he answers sister. Maybe he knows something we don't. Chad and I would like a girl sometime so it would be nice to get her now so we don't end up with 4 or 5 boys still wanting a girl. (I draw the line at 3 no matter what!) Baby #2 is due November 20th. So we have hit Christmas time and now Thanksgiving time. I think we should try for Halloween next time.

Something New

Well, I have so many friends that blog now that I thought I would try it. It's a great way to keep in touch with everyone! Once I get used to this I will add photos. Until then, I have a story about Tracen. We have been trying to teach him his ABC's so we've been singing the song in our house lately. The other day at dinner he started singing and was actually saying all the letters. Once he got to L-M-N-O-P he started to laugh. It was one of those belly laughs that just made everyone around him laugh. It made my night.
