Photo of the Day

For Christmas Adam gave me the challenge (along with the albums to scrapbook) to take a photo a day for the year as a way of writing in my journal. I love the idea, especially since I'm such a picture person. I've done really well so far. I've only missed a couple of days but took two pictures the next day to make up for it. My days are really rather boring and full of the same things, so it's made me be creative and look at things in my life in a new light. My plan is to print a months worth at a time and scrapbook/journal them once a month. Here are just a few to give you an idea of what we are up to. (I haven't emptied my SD card onto the computer in awhile so there are only a few to choose from.)

Jan 1- Tracen ringing in the new year with Auntie Natalie

Jan 2- Our 8th Anniversary- it's been a wonderful ride!

Jan 5- the boys enjoying some ice cream before bed

Jan 6- Chad brought home flowers for me for no reason! He's a great husband!

I'll keep updating with a few photos here and there for you to enjoy (that is if anyone looks at this but me.) Stay tuned.

After Christmas Family Trip

This year we went to St. George. It is always nice to get away for a while and just spend time with the family.

We went to the Dinosaur Museum while we were down there. It was fun to see what they have there, but not really a fun place for little kids. It was too technical not enough hands on for them.

The boys swimming

It's amazing what one session of swim lessons will do. He is not near as terrified of the water anymore and even ventures out on his own a little.

Something Tracen would not do at this age. Myles is a little nervous around the water, but not near as much as his big brother was.

And the shocker of the trip was that not only did it snow, but it stuck! I have never been there when it has stuck- it was a little weird! We found out that the snow was still there a week later too!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas! Here are just a few of the pictures from our adventures.

One day I noticed Myles trying to put our stockings on as socks- notice that he also took off his sock to do so.

My boys!

I wanted to make Chad a quilt using the samples from his shop from the first 5 years he's been in business. (He's been in business for close to 7 years now!) It's not finished, but the front is done so he could at least get an idea of what it will look like. I think he was surprised- which is really hard to do with him!

This picture captures how excited Tracen was to give gifts. It made my heart happy to witness it! He really was more excited to give his gifts than to get them.

Here they are with their loot

His very own bowling ball. We went and got it drilled and his name put on it on Monday and then went bowling for his birthday.

Myles' car that he didn't get to play with because it had to charge all day! Maybe someday Santa will get his elves to do that the night before- but until he remembers to think about it....

SNOW

Tracen was so excited to build the first snowman of the year. So the boys went out and got to work!

Myles tried to help with his little pumpkin, but in the end just ate the snow and watched Chad and Tracen.

Yes, that is muddy snow- he's a boy what do you expect?

Our cowboy snowman stayed with us for quite a while before the sun took him away. Tracen was so proud. All the other snowmen in the neighborhood fell first!
